About the role
- Manage, execute, and assure quality in commercial operations, including risk management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups to develop and deliver commercial best practices.
- Own and manage key supplier relationships, ensuring performance aligns with core values.
- Foster strong relationships across the business, integrating strategies into commercial planning.
- Effectively manage a portfolio of matters, supporting scoping, effective fee arrangements (EFA’s), and forecasting.
- Lead the development and implementation of commercial strategies, including upskilling the legal function with scoping, tendering, and reporting.
- Develop and assure accuracy of MI insights for strategic decision-making.
- Support timely reporting of matter costs, budget forecasts, and savings.
- Assist in establishing the function as a strategic partner within the organisation.
- Collaborate with the COO team to help develop various solutions, including legal process improvement and technology optimisation.
- Create and maintain commercial processes, tools, and strategies, ensuring accurate knowledge sharing.
- Ensure adherence to commercial processes, governance, and reporting.
Requirements
- Must have extensive experience in large operations/procurement; legal operations experience.
- Financial Services experience is required.
- Strong stakeholder management and business development skills.
- Significant project management experience with best practices knowledge.
- Ability to analyse data and provide strategic recommendations.
- Experience with e-Billing software or similar.
- Strong judgement and communication skills.
- Experience in a matrix organization.
- Attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Excel for data analysis and report creation.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
