About the role
- Serve as an embedded HR Ops Coordinator for an assigned client two days per week, supporting onboarding to offboarding, benefits admin, and employee relations.
- Serve other current and prospective clients, along with the HR and Learning & Development teams, with the highest level of customer service, empathy, and professionalism.
- Administer payroll, benefits, and leave programs in coordination with internal and external partners.
- Provide timely, accurate guidance on HR policies, best practices, and compliance matters.
- Support fractional operations needs for clients, i.e., meeting coordination, audit prep, writing SOPs, and office management tasks.
- Draft and update handbooks, policies, and employee communications.
- Manage and maintain data across HR systems (Gusto, Paylocity, or client-specific platforms).
- Partner with hiring managers to coordinate recruiting and onboarding through various ATS platforms.
- Support HR projects for multiple clients, balancing competing priorities with efficiency, and help secure future engagements.
- Represent Deep End at client sites, professional events, and networking engagements.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of HR administration experience
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, or related field required
- HR certification (SHRM-CP or HRCI equivalent) preferred or working towards certification
- Working knowledge of multi-state employment laws and HR best practices
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, and HR/ATS systems such as Paylocity and Gusto
- Strong organizational skills, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to style-switch between executive-level and front-line conversations
- A collaborative, service-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and handle confidential information with discretion
- Indiana residency and the ability to commute to the 96th & Meridian area twice weekly.
