About the role
- Implement cloud architecture standards using Infrastructure-as-Code tooling (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Maintain cloud configuration baselines for IL5 AWS GovCloud environments
- Update and validate CMDB entries related to cloud resources, configurations, and dependencies
- Monitor cloud configuration drift and enforce compliance with enterprise standards
- Support configuration audits, remediation actions, and version control for baseline updates
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with RMF controls, STIGs, and IL5 cloud requirements
- Work with DevSecOps engineers to integrate IaC into CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments
- Assist in cloud asset inventory, tagging standards, and configuration documentation
- Support troubleshooting of configuration-related issues across cloud services
- Produce configuration diagrams, baseline documentation, and change control artifacts
- Participate in Change Control Board (CCB) reviews for cloud configuration changes
Requirements
- Must hold an active Top Secret clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud engineering, systems administration, or configuration management
- Experience implementing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code tools
- Experience maintaining configuration baselines, CMDB updates, or configuration governance
- Experience supporting IL5 or federal cloud environments
- Knowledge of AWS GovCloud services and cloud resource configuration
- Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent IaC tooling
- Understanding of configuration management, CMDB practices, and baseline control
- Knowledge of DoD cloud security requirements, RMF, and Zero Trust alignment
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment patterns (preferred)
- Experience with cloud compliance monitoring tools (AWS Config, Prisma, etc.) (preferred)
- Familiarity with container platforms or microservices architectures (preferred)
