About the role

  • The Associate Product Manager plays a key role in shaping and advancing DealerOn’s software solutions.
  • This role supports the entire product lifecycle: research, discovery, definition, delivery, and optimization.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and industry research within the automotive retail software space to identify market trends, customer challenges, and strategic opportunities.
  • Interview customers, dealers, internal SMEs, and partners to understand workflows, pain points, and emerging needs.
  • Help define product vision, goals, and success metrics aligned with company strategy.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining the product roadmap for your products, balancing customer value, business priorities, and technical feasibility.
  • Create clear, concise functional and non-functional requirements – including user stories, acceptance criteria, and detailed user flows.
  • Translate customer and stakeholder requests into well-defined problem statements and actionable backlog items.
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to refine user experiences, participate in usability testing, and validate solutions before development.
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure shared understanding of requirements, answer questions during development, and support sprint planning and backlog refinement.
  • Collaborate with Training, Support, and Marketing teams to ensure product updates are clearly documented, communicated, and understood internally and externally.
  • Provide troubleshooting and knowledge support to Operational teams for your products and features.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and grooming.
  • Ensure backlog is prioritized, refined, and consistently aligned with roadmap goals.
  • Triage incoming bug reports, feature suggestions, and improvement requests while assessing impact and recommending priority.
  • Support release planning by preparing release notes, validating acceptance criteria, and conducting post-launch analyses.
  • Communicate product decisions, timelines, and updates to stakeholders clearly and proactively.
  • Validate feature outcomes through user feedback, analytics, and performance metrics.
  • Assist in developing customer-facing documentation, training materials, and product guides.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience, preferably in business, engineering, computer science, or related field.
  • 1+ year of experience in SaaS, automotive software, digital retailing, or related technology environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working with product or development teams.
  • Proficiency with Product Management software such as Jira, Confluence, or Microsoft Project.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to validate acceptance criteria and collaborate with users.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
  • 2+ years in product management, business analysis, or a related discipline within SaaS or automotive technology (preferred).
  • Experience within dealership software, automotive retail operations, digital marketing, or automotive e-commerce platforms (preferred).
  • Formal product management training (e.g., Pragmatic, Product School, CSPO) (preferred).
  • Experience using roadmapping tools such as Aha!, ProductPlan, Monday.com (preferred).
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with frequently changing priorities (preferred).
