About the role
- Design, develop, and test on different sections of a drive like switch-mode power supplies, inverters, gate drives, rectifiers, DC link, and related systems.
- Work across the full development cycle – from schematics to ECAD, lab testing, and production handover.
- Support cost estimation, FMEA, and other development processes.
- Simulation activity includes both circuit and physics-based simulation.
- Contribute to EMC evaluations and compliance efforts (expert-level experience not required).
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Power Electronics and Drives or a related field, with 8 – 10 years of professional experience.
- Experience with switch-mode power supplies, inverters, DC link, and gate drive circuitry is preferred.
- Hands-on experience in simulation tools like MATLAB, pSPICE, PSIM, Ansys, etc are added advantages.
- Familiarity with EMC principles and testing is a plus.
- Ability to take designs from concept to production, including schematic capture and layout.
- Ability to lead the team technically.
- Strong problem-solving skills, eagerness to learn, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks across different phases of development.
