About the role
- Design, develop, implement, and support assembly, test stations, and other control equipment to drive improvements in quality and manufacturing.
- Work closely with software and process engineers to review requirements and implement test and machine controls for production machinery; through application of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Lead and facilitate the continuous improvement of methods and technology to reduce the material impact of test while improving upstream assembly controls for better quality product.
- Ensure sustainability and continuous improvements projects.
- Develop manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Management Engineering
- 3 years experience with ISO 26262, Part 3, 4, 8, and 9
- 3 years experience with design and implementation of common embedded software in vehicles
- 3 years experience with requirements management tools (e.g., Polarion), work management tools (e.g., Azure DevOps), and SW version control tools (e.g. Git)
- 3 years experience with automotive communication bus systems and protocols (i.e. CAN, UDS, J1939)
