About the role
- The liquid cooling design engineer is a critical technical role responsible for the improvement, engineering change management, and lifecycle support of existing product lines.
- Acting as the product design owner, the PE evaluates requests from Product Application Engineers (PAEs), leads the implementation of design changes, coordinates global engineering resources, and manages testing and validation processes to ensure all modifications meet technical and quality standards.
- This role is the central bridge between customer requirements and internal engineering execution.
- Consulted on Voice of Customer (VoC) collection and product testing standards for proprietary lines (e.g., FD83, small size full flow, hoses), collaborating with global New Product Development and Engineering teams, while jointly supporting regional product communication with the Product Application Engineer(PAE).
- Served as the consulted product design owner during the quotation phase, confirming design feasibility, guiding the drafting team on advance prints, and reviewing designs with the PAE to ensure customer and application requirements were met, while being informed of new part number creation in Team Center.
- Led product development and improvement efforts by defining global coordination actions, technical specifications, and timelines; managed prototype builds with manufacturing, procurement, and prototyping teams, tracked progress, ensured test resource availability, and communicated updates to stakeholders, while being informed of customer-specific testing requests initiated by the PAE.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by management in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in current product maintenance, engineering change management, failure analysis, or quality improvement within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in DCLC is highly preferred.
- Excellent project management, cross-functional coordination(key), and problem-solving skills.
- English: understands complex concrete and abstract topics, interacts fluently and spontaneously with native speakers, and produces clear, detailed text, including reasoned arguments presenting various viewpoints.
