About the role
- Customers Bank has an immediate opening for a Portfolio Manager on our Pennsylvania Middle Market Banking team.
- The Portfolio Manager will be responsible for managing the loan and deposit portfolio for our Middle Market Banking clients.
- The role is client facing and a strategic part of building out the broader middle market client base.
- Customer interaction with current and new clients, obtaining all necessary documentation to meet annual underwriting/renewal and account opening standards.
- Monitor and proactively manage all aspects of the loan and deposit portfolio including loan delinquency, loan reviews, renewals, managing interest rate plans and profitability tracking.
- Perform service requests on existing loans and deposits, working with loan operations and treasury services teams to ensure completion timely.
- Visit customers along with the Relationship Managers to establish and maintain positive relationships and cross sell other bank products and services.
- Actively involved in the community with ability to represent the bank and for personal development.
Requirements
- College degree or 5 + years of equivalent banking experience.
- Prior commercial banking experience within the middle market, corporate banking and/or commercial real estate sectors.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills.
- Completion of a formal credit training program.
- Understanding of loan/depository documentation.
- Working knowledge of Capital Markets, including Loan Syndications and Debt Capital Markets.
- Ability to manage time and complete assigned annual reviews in a timely manner.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Time management, Task prioritization, Multi-tasking, and Attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently and in a larger team environment.
- Technology Skills: Ability to work with the Microsoft Suite and learn/work with other Customers Bank’s applications.
- Salesforce and nCino experience.
