About the role
- Lead cost estimation processes by reviewing project plans and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates
- Implement and oversee cost control measures throughout project lifecycles in collaboration with project managers and engineers
- Review and validate vendor quotes and subcontractor bids for alignment with project scope and cost expectations
- Provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership on cost optimization and long-term budget planning
- Drive development and continuous improvement of internal cost estimation and control processes
- Lead and oversee delivery of complex, hyperscale AI Data Center construction projects
- Travel to oversee multiple project sites as needed (up to 30%)
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cost engineering, cost management, or estimating within the energy, construction, or technology sectors
- Experience managing project budgets and cost reporting for complex projects, ideally in the infrastructure or real estate industries
- Comfortable with change management and ability to quickly adapt to shifts in project scope, requirements, and cost structures
- Passion for working on visible, large-scale construction projects
- Willingness to travel as needed (up to 30%)
- (Bonus) Experience with hyperscale data center construction cost management
