About the role
- Implement and manage Health, Safety and Environment policies, procedures and programs aligned with legal requirements and the company's objectives.
- Monitor area performance indicators (KPIs) and propose corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with ISO standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.).
- Manage the implementation of operational procedures that minimize risks and prevent accidents, ensuring the physical integrity of employees.
- Supervise the correct use, maintenance and distribution of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and collective protective equipment (CPE).
- Coordinate mandatory and specific training, such as new employee onboarding, fire brigade training and evacuation plans.
- Conduct analysis and investigation of incidents, accidents and near misses, proposing corrective and preventive measures.
- Support medical control programs and occupational health initiatives.
- Promote health and wellbeing campaigns, contributing to employees' quality of life.
- Manage appropriate waste disposal, emissions control and compliance with environmental requirements.
- Coordinate environmental impact studies, ergonomic assessments and measurements of physical, chemical and biological risks.
- Implement sustainability actions and environmental education.
- Supervise third-party contractors involved in Health, Safety and Environment activities, ensuring compliance with internal standards.
- Validate legal and technical documentation required from service providers.
- Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and improvement of quality, environmental, food safety and occupational health management systems.
- Report deviations, risks and non-conformities to designated responsible parties, promoting a safety culture and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Postgraduate degree or specialization in Health, Safety and Environment
- Fluent in English
- Knowledge of regulatory norms (NRs), environmental legislation and integrated management systems
- Leadership skills, assertive communication, systemic thinking and decision-making
