About the role

  • Coordinate and interface with applicable equipment leasing and finance companies regarding ongoing maintenance of the leased trucks
  • Track maintenance schedules for each leased truck
  • Develop and implement a third-party leasing and finance company reporting maintenance program for all leased vehicles in the TIB Program
  • Track and log maintenance reports to confirm timely inspections, services, and repairs
  • Track compliance, generate reports, and identify trends and risks
  • Verify and update third-party leasing and finance company program to include preventive maintenance schedules and compliance benchmarks
  • Assist third-party leasing and finance company in sourcing low-cost options for tires, parts, equipment, and fuel
  • Educate TIB business owners regarding best practices, DOT compliance, safety inspections, and insurance requirements
  • Monitor and analyze maintenance performance, downtime, and costs to recommend improvements

Requirements

  • Proven experience in fleet maintenance management, compliance oversight, or heavy-duty vehicle programs
  • Hands-on knowledge of tow trucks, trailers, hydraulics, and related equipment
  • Strong understanding of DOT, insurance, and towing industry compliance standards
  • Ability to design and manage reporting systems and enforce compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis, charts, reporting tools) and other reporting software
  • Experience with vendor negotiation for parts, tires, fuel, and repair services
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills (maintenance logs, compliance reports, risk tracking)
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
  • Must be a self-starter, highly organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, hands-on, and a quick learner
  • 3 – 5 plus years or equivalent experience in transportation logistics preferred
  • Education: HS degree, college, or more preferred
