About the role
- Ensure implementation of all clinic policies and procedures; recommend policy and procedure updates and changes, and shape evidence-based policy decisions to provide clients with the most up-to-date treatment available in addictions care.
- Ensure timely and complete documentation of treatment records, medication security, and any other documentation required by federal, state, and local agencies.
- Ensure that Guidelight Health protects the rights and confidentiality of all clients.
- Document findings and decision-making about care in electronic health record.
- Maintain timely and appropriate communication and attend meetings as requested.
- Facilitate appropriate communication and referrals with outside professional as needed.
- Comply with other ad hoc requests and projects as assigned.
- Maintain a strong policy knowledge of and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local rules, laws, and regulations as well as CARF requirements, policies and procedures.
- Maintain knowledge of and compliance with CFR-related privacy principles and HIPAA policies and procedures.
- Participate in federal and state mental health training and continuing education as needed to perform in the position safely and effectively.
- Interact with all staff in a positive and motivational fashion supporting the clinic’s mission and commitment to client experience.
Requirements
- Physicians are required to have an active license in the State of North Carolina.
- All Medical Providers must have Schedule II-V prescriptive authority from the State of North Carolina.
- A Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registry license and active x-waiver.
- An active National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Experience treating mental health disorder.
