About the role

  • Analyzing legacy custom code, adapting it for S/4HANA compatibility, and leveraging SAP BTP services to modernize and extend business applications.
  • Proficiency with SAP Readiness Check, ABAP Test Cockpit (ATC), and Custom Code Migration Worklist.
  • Ability to identify Obsolete or deprecated code (e.g., classic BAPIs, old data models), syntactic and semantic issues in custom ABAP & usage of non-compatible objects in S/4HANA.
  • Experience with SAP Simplification Database and S/4HANA Simplification Items.
  • Strong ABAP skills, including ABAP on HANA (performance tuning, CDS views) & ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
  • Clean Core principles and extensibility best practices.
  • Refactoring legacy code to align with S/4HANA data models and APIs.
  • Develop and deploy cloud-native applications using SAP BTP services (SAP Build, SAP Business application studio, CAP, Fiori, RAP).
  • Collaborate with functional teams to understand business processes and ensure seamless code adaptation.
  • Integrate S/4HANA systems with SAP BTP using APIs and SAP Integration Suite.
  • Document technical specifications, migration steps, and development artifacts.
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable SAP solutions on S/4HANA and SAP BTP, including extensions, integrations, and automation.

Requirements

  • 8-10 years of experience in SAP ECC, S/4HANA and SAP BTP development.
  • Hands-on experience in ECC to S/4 HANA conversion Custom code analysis & adoptions using BTP services
  • Strong programming skills in ABAP, SQL & proficiency in SAP Fiori/UI5 development.
  • Experience with Integration Suite, API Management, Event Mesh, and OData/REST APIs.
  • Familiarity with event-driven architecture and cloud-native development.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.
  • Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
