About the role
- Overseeing environmental, health, and safety protocols within US manufacturing plants.
- Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures for compliance.
- Conduct risk assessments and drive continuous improvement in EHS performance.
- Manage waste management programs and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and external auditors during inspections.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in EHS management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and local environmental regulations.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct risk assessments, root cause analyses, and trend analyses.
- Proven leadership abilities, including the ability to coach, mentor, and engage cross-functional teams.
- Experience implementing and managing EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS software applications for data management and reporting.
- Recognized Certification in Environmental, Safety or Health, Risk Management such as CIH, CSP, etc. (Desirable, but not required)
