About the role
- Development of new and optimization of existing production processes for manufacturing medical products, including production equipment
- Design and implementation of new manufacturing technologies and automation solutions
- Coordination and process development at production interfaces (end-to-end process)
- Leading and participating in projects for continuous improvement and efficiency enhancement of production operations
- Training and supporting employees regarding new processes and technologies
- Creation of work instructions
- Optimization of the material flow process - from goods receipt to goods dispatch
- Leading and participating in projects within the area of responsibility
- Participation in risk management for production processes
- Support of the CAPA process concerning root causes and corrective actions, including root cause analysis
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Medical Technology, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in process development and optimization, ideally in a regulated production environment (e.g., medical devices, pharmaceuticals, food)
- Practical experience in analyzing, developing, and implementing new or optimized production processes, including technical equipment
- Experience in project-oriented work, as well as in leading and participating in interdisciplinary projects
- Experience in plastics processing and initial knowledge in automation/partial automation of production processes are desirable
- Initial knowledge in automation or partial automation of production processes is desirable
- Knowledge of Lean Management and designing efficient material flows is an advantage
- Fluent German and proven practical English skills, both written and spoken
