About the role
- Prepare journal entries and schedules to assist with the monthly closing process
- Reconcile general ledger balance sheet accounts
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and P&L analysis; produce ad hoc reports
- Process management to ensure all timecards are authorized timely and accurately
- Ensure all payroll related entries and balances are complete and accurate; submit to ADP and process agency attachments
- Calculate incentive pay and other pay or tax adjustments; retrieve and disseminate shared service payroll data
- Assist in month end close and the company’s annual financial audit
- Identify and implement technological improvements to processes including automation, digitization, and leverage of AI
- Analyze information and data by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information
- Interface with accounting department, external accountant/service provider, and other stakeholders
- Perform light treasury functions (daily cash forecast, processing bank inquiries)
Requirements
- Bachelor's or higher degrees in accounting; B.S. Degree with a major in accounting preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- Minimum 1-2 years of direct general accounting / finance experience
- ERP large manufacturing company experience
- ERP experience
- Strong ability to use MS Office packages, including MS Word, Power Point and Excel (Intermediate excel skillset)
- Strong ability to communicate verbally and in writing, as well as good organizational skills
- Detail oriented with excellent ability to analyze data and circumstances
- Ability to process payroll, timecards, incentive pay calculations, and ADP submissions
- Experience with month end close, balance sheet reconciliations, P&L analysis, and assisting in financial audits
- Interface with external accountant/service provider for tax and license filings
- Must meet U.S. Government export regulations (ITAR): U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required authorizations
- Physical requirements: Standing; Lifting up to 25 lbs. (can be assisted); Sitting (8-10 hours per day)
