About the role

  • Prepare and maintain updates to customs regulations.
  • Advise clients and leverage expertise to promote CEVA – Air & Ocean Canada Inc.
  • Prepare and track customs claims, amendments and deferrals.
  • Understand and comply with the laws and regulations of various governments as well as procedures established by CEVA – Air & Ocean Canada, including the company's ISO standards.
  • Approve and follow up on certificates of origin.
  • Review, update and create product codes for clients (HS classification).
  • Visit clients and provide on-site consulting services.
  • Serve as a technical information resource.
  • Support agents within the customs department.
  • Other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in customs consulting.
  • CCSC (Certified Customs Specialist) certification preferred.
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to manage time and priorities to meet internal and external expectations.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Fluent in English and French, as this role serves clients and communicates with vendors outside of Quebec.
