About the role

  • support operations, finance and business process excellence teams with a focus on the maximisation of revenue and profit
  • collaborate with senior management to discuss financial and operational KPI data, profitability, spend and forecasting activity
  • assist in profitability and margin discussions, identifying trends and focusing on operational and commercial improvements
  • liaise regularly with wider functions during new business implementations maintaining control
  • develop, manage and maintain reporting with a particular focus on spend and saving initiatives, green and corporate social responsibility achievements and project pipeline activities

Requirements

  • CIMA or ACCA part qualified
  • experience in accounting and reporting, ideally within a freight forward, third-party logistics or supply chain environment
  • proven operational and customer-facing experience
  • practiced in interpreting complex data, identifying trends and analysing outcomes
  • ability to build strong stakeholder relationships
  • proven financial systems and MS package skills
  • experienced in MS Excel
