About the role
- Provides complex to specialized support to areas of the supply chain or operations
- Receives and processes documents for accuracy, requiring complex knowledge of customers, carriers, and procedures
- Processes operational data in software systems and applications
- Addresses complex or escalated internal or external customer questions and concerns
- Tracks orders and shipments and assists with tracing as needed
- Runs, analyzes and summarizes operational reports
- Interfaces with airlines, shipping, truck and related carriers
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures
- Creates and processes invoices and assists others as needed
Requirements
- Minimum: High School Graduate or GED
- Two years of specialized logistics or related operations support experience
- Advanced knowledge of operational and support principles and practices in supply chain environments
- Capable of working with providers, carriers and services in a transportation/logistics environment
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, Internet, web-based and job specific software applications
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently
