About the role
- Develop and lead the group's overall Quality, Health, Safety, Security and Environment (QHSSE) strategy in alignment with corporate strategic objectives
- Manage a dedicated team responsible for QHSSE initiatives, fostering collaboration and operational excellence
- Oversee regulatory compliance for health, safety and environmental matters across all group operations
- Assess risks related to the company's activities and propose and implement effective preventive measures adapted to different geographic areas and business lines
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement and QHSSE engagement across all departments and stakeholders
- Coordinate internal and external audits and prepare QHSSE performance reports for executive management
- Encourage and monitor ongoing training for employees on QHSSE practices and standards to maintain a high level of competence and vigilance
- Actively participate in executive committees to advise on QHSSE issues and contribute to strategic decision-making
- Maintain continuous regulatory and technological monitoring to anticipate and integrate relevant developments into the company’s QHSSE policy
Requirements
- Advanced degree in safety management, environmental studies, engineering or a related field
- Several years of proven experience in a similar role, ideally in the maritime sector or in a regulated, international industry
- Excellent knowledge of international QHSSE standards as well as applicable local and European regulations
- Demonstrated ability to manage multicultural, multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to work cross-functionally and bring various stakeholders together around QHSSE priorities
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail and strong communication skills to ensure effective dissemination and understanding of QHSSE policies
- Proficiency with IT tools and QHSSE management systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
- Professional command of English is essential to operate in a global environment.
