About the role

  • Set up, organize and oversee sales teams to ensure portfolio follow-up and identify growth opportunities within their scope
  • Develop commercial activities in line with the Group’s objectives
  • Approve and challenge the commercial action plan prepared by the Sales Manager
  • Implement management tools to monitor the performance of sales teams according to the Group’s strategy, and proactively apply corrective actions when necessary
  • Promote products and services to customers and prospects
  • Regularly analyze market statistics and report findings to General Management and Regional Office teams
  • Coordinate and harmonize commercial strategies across the cluster countries, taking into account each country’s economic, cultural and regulatory specificities
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration among the Sales Managers of the cluster countries to ensure a unified approach to achieving overall objectives
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the Sales Managers across the cluster, providing guidance and support to strengthen their effectiveness
  • Supervise market studies and analyses at the cluster level to provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making and to identify new growth opportunities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-level strategic discussions and decisions related to the cluster, representing the commercial interests of all countries concerned.

Requirements

  • More than 10 years’ experience as a Key Account Manager
  • Solid expertise in the maritime transport sector (minimum 10 years’ experience in liner shipping)
  • Proven management skills
  • Excellent communication skills (ability to present different commercial scenarios to customers, executives and middle management)
  • Professional, positive demeanor with the ability to manage stress in complex situations
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time optimally
  • Previous experience with the Salesforce platform
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to guide decision-making.
