About the role
- Support to the Group DPO: Assist the DPO in organizing and overseeing the compliance function within the group.
- Coordination of compliance projects: Oversee subsidiaries' compliance initiatives with local regulations (in 180 countries) and the Group's Binding Corporate Rules (BCRs).
- Support for subsidiaries: Assist subsidiaries in their compliance efforts, taking into account local and sector-specific requirements (shipping, logistics, media, specialized transport, etc.).
- Management of audits and controls: Participate in the planning and monitoring of internal and external data protection audits.
- Awareness and training: Develop awareness programs for employees on data protection best practices.
- Regulatory monitoring: Maintain legal and technical monitoring of developments in local and international data protection legislation.
Requirements
- Excellent command of at least one major data protection regulation (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of project management related to compliance and data governance.
- Experience in an international environment with a deep understanding of multi-jurisdictional issues.
- Skills in strategic planning, prioritization, and meeting deadlines.
- Excellent negotiation skills to manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, synthesis and communication skills.
- Strong commercial/business acumen to support operational entities in their projects.
- Master's degree (equivalent to French Master 2) in law, computer science or management with a specialization in personal data protection.
- Significant experience in a similar role or in a position involving the management of complex compliance projects.
- Fluent English; an additional language is a plus.
- Experience within an international or multi-industry group is highly desirable.
