About the role
- Support the Vessel Operations team with the day-to-day coordination of vessel activities across all required ports in Papua New Guinea.
- Coordinate and monitor vessel berth schedules in collaboration with shipping lines and terminal operators.
- Track vessel movements along the Australian coast in close coordination with Inchcape agents.
- Prepare operational reports and support analysis or studies as required by the Assistant Manager – Ships and Terminals.
Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in business, International Business, Supply chain/Logistics or equivalent experience.
- Experience in shipping operations, container terminals, port operations and/or vessel husbandry (advantageous but not essential).
- Strong computer literacy with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- A keen eye in process improvement and optimisation.
