About the role
- Receive, review and process documentation for an assigned base of accounts
- Interface with other CEVA systems to provide updates and communications for internal and external customers
- Obtain release and other government agency releases as appropriate
- Process other duties required for compliant release and timely delivery and receipt of shipments
- Serve as single point of coordination between customers and U.S. Customs and Border protection
- Provide excellent and timely customer service
- Coordinate the release of goods from the carrier or governmental agency examinations
- Manage pre-alerts daily to determine whether freight is arriving as expected
- Perform Import/Export Specialist I responsibilities when needed
- Capable of communicating and interacting effectively with multi-functional and diverse backgrounds
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelor’s Degree in Transportation Logistics or Supply Chain Management preferred
- 1-3+ years of related experience
- PC literate
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Accurate typing skills and/or data entry skills
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
