About the role
- Provide strategic leadership and coordination across CHAI Ghana programs
- Conceptualize CHAI Ghana’s strategy for Commodity Access
- Build requisite technical expertise and mobilize resources to grow the portfolio
- Oversee workstreams spanning product introduction, market shaping, evidence generation, and supply planning
- Lead grant operations and donor reporting across portfolio investments
- Serve as liaison with the Ministry of Health and other relevant agencies
- Provide technical oversight in scaling up local manufacturing of health products
Requirements
- Master’s degree in public health, life sciences, health economics, health policy, or related field
- 7 – 10 years of work experience in health products development, commercialization, stakeholder management, health systems integration, or program management
- Experience working with government agencies, international donors, and development partners in the health sector context
- Experience managing donor-funded programs for maternal health is a strong advantage
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical’s product landscape, including product introduction, ecosystem enablers, and regulatory requirements
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with people of varied professional, cultural, and educational backgrounds
- Ability to multitask and to work independently and effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- High levels of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications
- Demonstrated expertise in health financing, systems strengthening, or impact analysis.
- Require a minimum of 30% travel within the country and internationally.
