About the role

  • Provide strategic leadership and coordination across CHAI Ghana programs
  • Conceptualize CHAI Ghana’s strategy for Commodity Access
  • Build requisite technical expertise and mobilize resources to grow the portfolio
  • Oversee workstreams spanning product introduction, market shaping, evidence generation, and supply planning
  • Lead grant operations and donor reporting across portfolio investments
  • Serve as liaison with the Ministry of Health and other relevant agencies
  • Provide technical oversight in scaling up local manufacturing of health products

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in public health, life sciences, health economics, health policy, or related field
  • 7 – 10 years of work experience in health products development, commercialization, stakeholder management, health systems integration, or program management
  • Experience working with government agencies, international donors, and development partners in the health sector context
  • Experience managing donor-funded programs for maternal health is a strong advantage
  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical’s product landscape, including product introduction, ecosystem enablers, and regulatory requirements
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people of varied professional, cultural, and educational backgrounds
  • Ability to multitask and to work independently and effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
  • High levels of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint applications
  • Demonstrated expertise in health financing, systems strengthening, or impact analysis.
  • Require a minimum of 30% travel within the country and internationally.
