About the role
- Work within Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) ecosystem to input, maintain, and execute contract actions
- Assist with reviewing, redlining, negotiating, and executing vendor contracts with a heavy focus on indirect services, especially consulting agreements
- Develop, coordinate, formalize, and prepare contract documents with precision and accuracy
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to move requests to completion
- Purchase materials, services, and supplies, including managing requests and continuously improving the procurement and request processes
- Help identify and pursue opportunities to improve cost or contract terms for goods and services procured by the organization
- Support and update internal customers on procurement requests and their timely completion
- Follow purchasing service level agreements (SLAs) to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate records, actively facilitating the purchasing request workload and prioritizing accordingly
- Adhere to procurement guidelines and organizational policies
- Work closely with the Procurement team to identify practice improvement opportunities, log those opportunities, and aid in the efforts to implement those changes
- Work closely with the Legal and Information Security teams to evaluate potential suppliers as well as assess the continued use of current suppliers
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field*
- Basic understanding of procurement processes and contract terminology
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and familiarity with procurement software
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and professional demeanor
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
- It's a Plus if You Have:
- 1+ years of relevant work experience in business, procurement, and contracting - including review and redlining contract agreements
- Non-for-profit procurement experience
- Project Management skills
- Experience awarding and managing consulting agreements
- Demonstrated experience in developing, understanding, redlining, negotiating, and contracting for indirect services
- Experience evaluating suppliers for adherence to confidentiality, data security, and regulatory standards
- Experience with Workday Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
- *Additional years of relevant experience or a combination of an Associate’s degree or equivalent and relevant experience may be substituted for the Bachelor’s degree.
