About the role

  • Set-up new hire & re-hire employees, dispatch requests, W-4 and DE3.
  • Process weekly payroll using Austin Lane and Penta software.
  • Report certified payroll using LCP Tracker, DIR, and other online reporting programs.
  • Process Garnishments, Federal and State withholding orders.
  • Process EDD unemployment and disability forms.
  • Ensure compliance with the unions, federal, state, and local laws regarding payroll administration, prevailing wage, and certified reporting.
  • Process forms relating to certified payroll including Fringe Benefit Statements, DAS 140, Monthly Employment Utilization, Skilled & Trained Workforce, Monthly Workforce Residency.
  • Process monthly reports to the union trust funds for union hours and fringe benefits.
  • Process enrollment in the UCIP/OCIP and monthly payroll reports.
  • Administer annual union wage and fringe benefit increases.
  • Research and resolve complex payroll questions, inquiries and verifications of employment and other payroll related data.
  • Create and analyze reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures relating to payroll.
  • Keep current with regulations and trends as related to payroll.
  • Monitor & Track that all subcontractors are compliant with certified payroll reporting.
  • File AP.
  • Attend and participate in all required company training programs.
  • Conform to all company policies and procedures. Attend and participate in all required company training programs.

Requirements

  • 2 plus years of union payroll experience
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and units of measure.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform multiple tasks while maintaining quality and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of office equipment and ten key by touch.
  • Ability to work in an organized manner and utilize time.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience with multiple Unions is a plus.
