About the role
- Bring accounting in-house from an outside firm and build/manage best practices within order management and customer service.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations related to order processing, invoicing, and payment tracking.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. bookkeeping standards and internal financial controls.
- Collaborate with global finance teams to align reporting and reconciliation practices.
- Prepare financial summaries and assist with audits and month-end closing activities.
- Manage expense coding, invoice matching, and vendor payment workflows (full p2p process).
- Lead and mentor the Order Entry, Purchasing and Customer Service team; set performance goals and conduct reviews.
- Coordinate workload distribution to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer response.
- Supervise order entry accuracy and ERP/CRM system usage (e.g., HubSpot).
- Resolve escalated customer issues and maintain high service standards.
- Maintain and improve internal processes for order tracking and client communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- 5+ years of experience in financial operations, preferably in a customer-facing environment.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. bookkeeping and accounting practices.
- Proven leadership experience in team management or supervisory roles.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot).
- Experience in distribution, manufacturing or lighting controls industry is a plus.
