About the role
- Conduct visual and physical inspections of company products and materials, helping team members interpret quality standards.
- Monitor the performance of the quality control staff and ensure that the department meets organizational objectives.
- Review the work of analysts or inspectors that collect data identifying potential quality failures, evaluate quality of raw materials or components, in progress goods, processes or operations.
- Monitor and evaluate current testing processes and make recommendations for improvements when necessary.
- Develop, implement and assess processes and policies designed to test products and services.
- Lead and develop a team, coach and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Advanced technical knowledge related to quality assurance and food safety concepts
- Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Advanced computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel)
- SAP experience
- Two years of supervisory experience
- Previous project management experience.
- Previous supervisory experience in quality assurance, food safety, food manufacturing, regulatory, or related field.
