About the role
- Set the vision and roadmap for Obscura, an integrated hardware+software privacy product
- Translate high-stakes customer needs into technical requirements across hardware, software, and cellular networks
- Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, design, operations) to execute roadmap and remove blockers
- Serve as product owner driving strategy, execution, and operations; report to Head of Product
- Champion Obscura customers and their privacy/security needs to inform roadmap decisions
- Define clear, actionable requirements and set high standards for quality and delivery
- Manage supply chain complexity: partner with operations, align with vendors, forecast demand, manage inventory, ensure high-quality shipments
- Drive go-to-market readiness by partnering with sales, business development, finance, marketing, and operations for launches and adoption
Requirements
- 6+ years product management experience with a track record of delivering impactful products
- Cross-functional leadership: roadmap building, scoping, writing PRDs, running sprints, and unblocking engineers
- Technical fluency: former engineering experience or proven ability to navigate complex technical conversations across the full stack
- Vendor & dependency management experience shipping products reliant on third-party components or partners
- Strong product intuition: balance data, user research, and instinct to make smart product tradeoffs
- Privacy & security expertise: experience working on products where privacy, security and trust are core to the value proposition
- Exceptional communication skills: able to write, speak, and present with clarity across audiences
- Ability to work hybrid with 3 days a week in office (NYC or DC) as indicated in application form
