About the role
- The Growth Finance Regional Lead will be responsible for contributing to the generation of Growth Finance opportunities to meet, and ideally exceed, forecast portfolio assets and income/returns.
- As well as growing the portfolio, it is important that we manage risk within the bank’s appetite. You will be responsible for ensuring that new business opportunities are properly assessed and the risks and mitigants pertaining to each deal are identified and articulated in the credit submission.
- This role will also have responsibility for development and maintenance of a portfolio of professional introducers as well as profile of the bank in their respective regions.
- Based on individual target, contribute to the delivery of the new business volume and income plan for Growth Finance.
- Ensuring that all relevant information, risks and mitigants are considered when presenting opportunities for consideration.
- Developing and maintaining the introducer base, expected to be corporate finance and debt advisory professionals in addition to selected specialist brokers.
- Collaboration with other team members, both within Growth Finance and the wider bank. Of particular importance will be ensuring a cohesive approach for the whole bank in regional markets.
- Working closely and collaboratively with all areas of Allica to ensure a seamless and professional service is always provided, and to provide ongoing direction as to where Allica’s product and software development should focus to provide greatest benefit to customers and efficiency over time.
- Be an advocate for the product with colleagues throughout the bank.
- Complying with all mandatory policies and develop and adhere to operational procedures to maintain a strong internal control environment.
Requirements
- A deep, established understanding of working capital financing in the SME sector. Knowledge of facility structuring and documentation.
- An established network of potential introducers in the Debt Advisory/Corporate Finance community.
- Able to interpret detailed financial information including balance sheet and cash forecasting, assess funding requirements and model the impact of sensitivities to such forecasts.
- Experience of assessing and monitoring a broad range of collateral classes including receivables, inventory, real estate and other fixed assets. Knowledge of the risks, mitigants and controls that apply to each and escalation steps which can be taken to increase control over these assets in the event of deterioration of client risk.
- You understand the operational aspects of business finance, including receivables and Asset Based Lending with an ability to articulate the relevant risk considerations.
- You’re a natural stakeholder manager with a long-term track record of building high-value, trust-based relationships.
- You’ll be able to evidence an ability to work expertly with customers, colleagues and advisors to assist with structuring new lending proposals, responding to changes in customer requirements and write credit applications that inform and enable balanced decision making.
