About the role
- Conduct engineering studies related to MEP field when required
- Prepare a clear and understandable MEP scope of work for transmission projects
- Review amendments for technical aspects
- Review the technical offers including deviations submitted by bidders
- Review and comment on design drawings, documents, materials, BIM Model and vendors submitted by contractors or consultants
- Finalize non-compliance note on submittals
- Attend factory inspections when required
- Ensure proper documentation of the inspection results
- Review compliance statement and provide recommendations for issuance of Dispatch Clearance
- Coordinate and participate in various technical, design and progress meetings
- Liaise with DEWA user departments for solutions on technical issues
- Assist in raising change requests on existing specifications for future Turnkey projects
- Assist in materials conformity and approvals
- Conduct site visits and site quality audits, as required
- Attend site investigations
- Responsible for continuously innovating and fulfilling the requirements of driving Corporate Excellence
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical/Electromechanical/Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 4 years experience in MEP
- Problem solving skills to propose technical solutions
- Knowledge in International Standards (IEEE, IEC, BS)
- Proficiency in technical report writing
- Preferred related experience in engineering design software’s (i.e. BIM, Revit)
