About the role

  • Quality Advocacy and Risk Management: Partner with Product and Engineering from the initial idea phase through deployment, proactively finding risks and ensuring quality is designed in, not just checked at the end.
  • Design and Plan Testing: Create robust, clear, and easy-to-follow manual test plans, scenarios, and test data for all new features and changes.
  • Execute Comprehensive Testing: Perform systematic manual testing alongside deep exploratory testing to uncover hard-to-find bugs, usability issues, and edge cases in the Fusion product.
  • Deep Product Understanding: Develop a comprehensive understanding of how the Fusion product is meant to behave. This expertise lets you correctly distinguish between a true bug and expected functionality, so we focus on fixing real problems.

Requirements

  • At least 3+ years of professional, hands-on experience as a QA Engineer, ideally testing complex B2B or SaaS web applications.
  • Strong technical curiosity and ability to use browser Developer Tools to gather logs, inspect network calls, and perform basic debugging. Familiarity with the React/Node stack is a significant advantage.
  • Self-motivated and thrives while working independently. You are proactive in defining the scope and managing the timelines for your testing efforts.
  • Possesses a highly analytical mind that pursues the root cause of an issue, not just the symptom, with a rigorous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate clearly in a remote work environment, write detailed documentation, and collaborate effectively and positively with cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience with modern bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Linear) and test case management tools.
Benefits
  • Unlimited time off. 3 weeks is the minimum that we will ask you to take each year
  • Mental health days. We encourage you to take at least one per quarter to recharge
  • Paid parental leave. 12 weeks of full pay for the birth and care of a newborn child, or for the placement of a child for adoption or foster care
  • $500 home office improvement budget. Help get what you need to be comfortable working in a digital-first environment
  • $500 annual learning & development budget. Feel supported and empowered to continue developing your skills
  • Co-working space reimbursement. Work from any WeWork at anytime with an All Access pass, or reimburse up to $300/month at another local co-working space

  • Additional Insurance. Depending on location, Builder covers your life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and you'll have access to supplemental benefits like accident and critical illness insurance
  • 401k (for US based team members). Contribute to your financial future through our Guideline plan
  • Real equity. We have a four year vesting schedule with a one year cliff. We also have a ten (10!!) year exercise window 🤯 (yeah, we're pretty stoked about it!)
