About the role
- Supervise security personnel
- Train security staff in safety measures on a regular basis
- Ensure Fire drills; are conducted for each shift monthly
- Recommend security measures and equipment to the facility director
- Attend regular staff meetings.
- Meet with facility and social services director on a regular basis to report any unusual incidents
- Ensure compliance mandated reporting involving incidents
- Submit staff time sheets and monitoring of time and leave for all security staff. Submit Management Report Monthly
- Maintain a tickler file, in conjunction with the human resources department, on all security staff to ensure that all required licenses and certificates are current
- Attend staff training sessions
- Meet monthly with program coordinator and/or program director for supervision
- Perform additional duties assigned by the manager.
Requirements
- Associates degree required or Four years of appropriate job-related experience.
- Three years of supervisory experience in a security-related position.
- New York State Security Fire Safety Coordinator License or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
