• Develop and maintain software tools for generating synthetic environments and integrating them into military simulation systems
• Automate geospatial data workflows using scripting languages and GIS technologies for efficient and accurate terrain production
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across Windows and Linux environments to ensure reliable system performance
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to define requirements, deliver solutions, and support system deployments
• Contribute to continuous improvement by evaluating new technologies and methods to enhance terrain quality and production efficiency
• Develop, integrate, and maintain applications used for virtual terrain generation and visualization
• Convert GIS data and 3D model content into formats used by simulation systems
• Participate in design reviews, testing, and deployment of new features
• Document workflows, data pipelines, and code
• Support demonstrations, field testing, and deployment activities as needed
• Test terrain products within simulation and visualization systems to validate accuracy and performance
• Stay current with emerging geospatial and simulation technologies to recommend improvements and drive innovation in terrain generation
• Actively mentor less experienced engineers
