About the role
- Planning, implementation and documentation of the introduction of 3D CAD within the company
- Development of a 3D design methodology including data structures, modeling guidelines and process specifications
- Administration and conceptual further development of the CAD and PLM systems in close coordination with the technical department
- Support and optimization of the interfaces between CAD, PLM and ERP
- Analysis and optimization of IT and process workflows related to CAD/PLM in collaboration with key users
- Creation and implementation of concepts to increase the efficiency of design processes and the system landscape
- Training and support of users in CAD and PLM systems
- Advising designers on methodological issues related to 3D modeling, data maintenance and process application
Requirements
- Degree in a technical field
- Professional experience as a CAD administrator, designer/engineer or PLM key user
- Experience implementing 3D CAD systems
- Very good knowledge of at least one 3D CAD system (preferably Autodesk Inventor) and experience with PLM/PDM systems
- Understanding of ERP processes and technical data flows between CAD/PLM/ERP
- Analytical, structured working style as well as strong communication and interface skills
- Experience managing external service providers
