About the role
- BGC is seeking student interns with a passion for applied earth sciences and a dedication to learning in a technically challenging and inspiring team environment
- Develop practical skillsets and gain experience within the field of geotechnical and geoscience consulting
- Perform a mix of office and field-based project work
- Typical field work includes site investigations and construction monitoring
- Contribute to reporting and interpretation of field data, supporting data management and design contributions
Requirements
- Enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a relevant undergraduate degree in Civil (Geotechnical/Hydrotechnical/General) or Geological Engineering, Geoscience, Geology, Geophysics or a related field
- Excellent written, presentation and oral communications
- MS Office skills
- A second language is an asset
- Familiarity with some of the below topics is an asset: Soil Mechanics, Rock Mechanics, Hydrogeology, Hydrology and Hydraulics, Geochemistry, Geomorphology, Technical Writing
