About the role
- BGC is seeking student interns who are passionate about Earth sciences
- Develop practical skills and gain experience in geotechnical and geoscience consulting
- A mix of field and office work supporting a wide range of clients in the mining, gas and oil pipeline, transportation, energy, and community sectors
- Fieldwork includes site investigations, construction monitoring, logging, and interpretation of field data.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree, or a recent graduate, in civil engineering (geotechnical / hydrotechnical / general) or geological engineering, geosciences, geology, or a related field
- Excellent writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
- Proficiency in a second language is an asset
- Familiarity with one or more of the following is an asset: soil mechanics; rock mechanics; hydrogeology; hydrology and hydraulics; geochemistry; geomorphology; geophysics; technical writing.
