About the role
- Management of trademark proceedings in Brazil and abroad.
- Drafting and reviewing petitions, contracts and other documents; responding to inquiries and conducting research to define strategy.
- Performing clearance searches and preparing opinions on trademark registrability.
- Supervising paralegal and attorney activities.
- Managing, monitoring and ensuring compliance with internal and external deadlines.
- Preparing communications, and providing clear guidance and support to clients in Portuguese and English.
- Managing national and international trademark portfolios.
- Overseeing payments to foreign agents.
- Participating in meetings with clients and opposing parties.
Requirements
- Advanced English.
- Minimum five years of experience in intellectual property, with emphasis on trademarks (national and international).
- Knowledge of the Apol tool.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Law degree (completed).
- Availability for a hybrid work model.
