About the role

  • Build and deliver clean, effective code that meets quality standards
  • Support the team by developing innovative solutions, fixing issues, adding new features
  • Apply DevOps principles to improve delivery, monitoring, and product support
  • Document solutions, share knowledge, and champion continuous improvement
  • Develop, enhance, and manage cloud-based software products (GCP/AWS)
  • Collaborate with developers, UX designers, analysts, and Product teams to plan, design, and deliver new features
  • Mentor and guide colleagues and junior team members, offering regular feedback

Requirements

  • A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or IT, and/or 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with Golang, Kubernetes, GraphQL, and gRPC
  • Advanced skills in one or more of: React, React Native, TypeScript/JavaScript, Next.js, CSS/HTML, WebAPI/REST/GraphQL, Node.js, Golang, or PHP
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms - GCP or AWS
  • Experience with Agile tools and methodologies (Jira, Confluence)
  • Proven ability to mentor and guide team members
  • Experience in the Horse Racing and Wagering industry
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
