About the role
- Learn to set up and operate flat cutter equipment through on-the-job training.
- Prepare jobs for cutting, input sheet data, and ensure accurate layout.
- Load and trim paper stacks, then stack finished products onto pallets.
- Maintain accurate production counts, skid tickets, and daily reports.
- Assist with routine cleaning, basic maintenance, and knife or stick changes
- Read a ruler and take precise measurements; use calculators and measurement tools to verify accuracy.
Requirements
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn flat cutter operations.
- Ability to read work orders and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic math skills, including fractions and decimals, with the ability to use rulers and measurement tools.
- Dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work well with trainers and supervisors.
- Prior bindery or manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
