About the role
- Provide Behavior Consultation to clients over tele-health and carry a caseload assigned by the Senior Clinical Supervisor
- Provide support, instruction, and feedback to families and caregivers in regard to managing challenging behavior
- Conduct descriptive behavioral assessments
- Interpret results of behavioral assessments and design ethical and effective behavior analytic interventions
- Follow all required deadlines for report writing and report submission as set forth by contracted agencies and BCI
- Present treatment plans at regular caregiver meetings
- Train and supervise behavior technicians on behavior intervention plans, data collection, required paperwork, and individual client needs
- Submit hours daily through BCI’s secured patient portal and submit client data on a prescheduled date
- Report any concerns about a program to the Senior Clinical Supervisor
- Provide training regarding BCI protocols and coordinate all required staff training prior to client start
- Participate in BCI trainings, staff meetings, and workshops
- Attend required meetings: Monthly BCI Clinical Meetings, Monthly Peer Consultation Meeting, and ECHO Supervision Meetings with Senior Clinical Supervisor
- Supervise and mentor clinical interns via co-case management, review and feedback on assessments and reports, provide ongoing feedback on teaching practices, model supervision practices, and create an engaging learning environment
Requirements
- Master’s degree from a four-year college or university in psychology, education, social work or behavioral science
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification in good standing
- Three years of experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities with challenging behaviors
- Experience rendering ABA treatment under health insurance contracts and within family homes
- Ability to use applied behavioral analysis principles
- Ability to utilize positive and negative reinforcement for shaping behavior
- Ability to take and analyze data
- Ability to utilize least restrictive measures in avoiding escalated situations
- Ability to use verbal interventions involving empathy, compassion, and client-centered approaches
- Ability to engage in active listening
- Ability to analyze and separate out individual versus systemic issues
- Ability to abide by the BACB guidelines (code of ethics)
- Ability to produce careful documentation and strong writing skills in English
- Ability to effectively communicate with supervisors, employees, job candidates and community partners
- Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide using whole numbers, fractions, decimals
- Reasoning ability to interpret written, oral, pictorial, or schedule instructions
- Ability to work collaboratively, prioritize tasks, and use time efficiently
- Excellent technological skills and ability to learn cloud-based systems and applicant tracking systems
- Physical ability to occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds and required vision abilities
- Employment requires permanent residency in one of the following states: Arizona, Colorado, California, New Mexico, Texas, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Washington, Idaho, Indiana, Oregon, Utah, or Pennsylvania
- Must be available to render services to clients on MST between 9am-6:30pm MT consistently
- Preference given to candidates with Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in Arizona
