About the role
- Lead, develop, and implement the BCER’s digital strategy and transformation, aligning emerging technology and information services with organizational priorities and long-term goals
- Lead the exploration and implementation of AI framework and technology, data interoperability and ensure responsible AI practices are embedded in all projects and ensure data governance, privacy, and ethical use of data are foundational to all initiatives
- Champion human-centered design and service design principles across all digital programs and lead change management for digital transformation
- Act as a strategic advisor to the Chief Financial Officer and the Executive team on digital trends, opportunities, risks, and capabilities
- Oversee digital privacy, freedom of information and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Drive continuous improvement through evaluation of digital services, user feedback, and performance metrics to optimize service delivery
- Lead the development of multi-year capital and operational initiatives for digital and information services, including budget oversight, vendor management, and contract negotiations
- Foster a culture of innovation and digital literacy across the organization
- Collaborate with the Leadership to align strategic and operational priorities
- Manage the digital services portfolio including information technology, digital transformation, data and business intelligence, AI adoption, cybersecurity, service design, and records and information management
Requirements
- Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a related field, such as Business/Public Administration or Computer Science, and six (6) or more years directly related experience
- Demonstrated experience leading and implementing digital transformation initiatives
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing information technology infrastructure to corporate initiatives
- Demonstrated experience leading change initiatives and processes
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching and mentoring high performing teams
- Demonstrated experience leading organizational projects and project management processes
- Demonstrated experience leading the development and management of operating and capital budget allocations
