About the role

  • Providing legal support to project managers, developers and construction managers in relation to onshore wind, solar PV and battery storage projects across the UK and Ireland
  • Driving legal matters relating to all aspects of project development and delivery, including due diligence, acquisition, land, construction, route to market, project financing, project sales and regulatory, corporate and commercial matters
  • Identifying the need for legal and commercial input and support across the business and supporting as required in risk management, contract drafting/negotiation and contract implementation
  • Developing and implementing core processes and systems to enable efficient contracting processes and contract management
  • Procuring, managing, and reviewing legal advice provided by external law firms

Requirements

  • Qualified solicitor in Scotland, England & Wales, or Ireland
  • At least 2 years PQE
  • Experience in real estate, planning, corporate, project finance, regulatory, construction or projects practice areas
  • Previous experience of working on renewable energy projects is preferred but not essential
  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong written and oral communication skills
  • Commercially aware
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Right to work in the UK or Ireland (as appropriate)
