About the role

  • Act as the Product Owner for one or multiple R&D digital products used by different business functions.
  • Engage in regular dialogue with the Product Family Manager regarding the vision of the overall Seeds Digital Roadmap.
  • Collaborate in a digital product team with business representatives to gather requirements and perform functional analysis, as well as managing change with the user community.
  • Utilize science education and digital expertise to drive forward innovative R&D solutions.
  • Define product vision with the product manager and ensure ongoing product improvement according to prioritized business requirements.
  • Ensure maintenance and lifecycle management of the product.
  • Lead an agile development team from analysis and design to implementation, user testing, and rollout.
  • Manage relationships with external partners and vendors associated with the product.
  • Contribute to the global product owner community to address interdependencies and shared vision of the digital landscape.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience, or a PhD, in a relevant field of digital life science.
  • Hands-on experience in agile product management/ownership and the usage of Agile methodologies with DevOps teams for implementation.
  • Understanding of business needs/demands and the ability to define business requirements at a product level.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, ability to work within global and diverse teams as well as with external partners and vendors.
  • Digital mindset and passion for improving processes with a focus on teamwork.
  • Knowledge and experience in fields relevant for plant biotechnology such as molecular biology, genetics, trait and gene discovery, bioinformatics, breeding, lab processes and data management, and/or field/greenhouse trials is a plus.
  • Knowledge of software architecture or data modelling is a plus.
