About the role
- Participate in a 10 to 12 week summer internship program at one of our Geismar sites
- Engage across the business and be exposed to leadership, technical, and scientific aspects of plant engineering
- Work on safety and environmental areas to uphold high standards
- Help complete various Engineering projects leveraging your area of study
- Present your summer project to other interns, BASF employees, and senior leaders at the end of the internship
Requirements
- Undergraduate and graduate students majoring in Mechanical Engineering
- College Sophomores and Juniors (April 2027-July 2028 grads)
- Demonstrated academic achievement (Minimum GPA 3.0)
- Authorization to work in the U.S. now and in the future without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
- Demonstrated previous leadership experience & academic achievement
- Active participation in extracurricular activities and on-campus organizations
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Outstanding work ethic and leadership potential
- Previous internship/co-op experience is a plus
