About the role
- responsible for supporting the clinical operations of the Banner Health Ambulatory and Acute Services team
- provides informatics expertise and resources for the acute specialty and ambulatory care clinical areas
- ongoing clinical user support for various clinical teams and committees
- serves as a liaison between the clinical team members and the central education team, Nursing Informatics, and Clinical Applications Solution IT teams
- helps ensure success in optimization of the electronic health record
- applies nursing standards to perform outcome coordinator functions
- performs user acceptance testing for system enhancements
- influences end-user training through clinical expertise and technical skills
- maintains ongoing user communication and support to ensure user competency
- collaborates with end-users to define issues and enhancement opportunities
Requirements
- knowledge and experience equivalent to completion of a bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field or related business discipline
- active RN license for a clinical position in a practicing state
- two to three years experience working within a complex and diverse health care setting
- proficient in the use of system office applications
- basic understanding of integrated clinical systems
- highly developed interpersonal and critical thinking skills with the ability to prioritize needs rapidly
- ability to convey messages and thoughts clearly to a diverse audience, using both verbal and written mediums
- ability to promote change among large groups of workers
- ability to coordinate information and activities, work under stress of deadlines and frequent interruptions, and to possess analytical problem-solving skills
- maintenance of familiarity with clinical care processes and information technology
