About the role
- Answering patient phone calls regarding billing questions
- Completing administrative tasks
- Process payments, adjustments, claims, and correspondent documents
- Reconcile and balance account balances and payments
- Build strong relationships with business units and hospital departments
- Work independently under general supervision
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge
- Knowledge of patient financial services, collections, and insurance
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of insurance plans with deductibles and co-insurances
- Strong knowledge in the use of common office software, word processing, spreadsheet, and database software
