About the role

  • Advises and directs the development and maintenance of financial crimes owned policies and standards
  • Produces and/or oversees independent financial crimes risk management reporting
  • Monitors the changes in regulations applicable to Global Financial Crimes
  • Participates in industry forums and monitors regulatory expectations
  • Escalates financial crimes related compliance and operational risks and issues
  • Identifies, aggregates, reports, escalates, inspects, and challenges remediation and thematic analysis of FLU/CF-owned issues and control enhancements
  • Reviews and challenges internal and external operational loss events

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years experience
  • Strong understanding of correspondent banking products and services
  • Demonstrated awareness of financial crime risks inherent in correspondent banking
  • Ability to identify and assess jurisdictional and counterparty risks
  • Practical knowledge of Correspondent Banking Due Diligence (CBDD)
  • Familiarity with transaction monitoring and screening controls applicable to correspondent banking
  • Working knowledge of global regulatory frameworks and industry standards
  • Conceptual understanding of how financial crime detection models operate
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
