About the role
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements (including SaaS/licensing, reseller/distribution, and vendor/supplier agreements) to complete complex software licensing transactions.
- Guide the company throughout its commercial deal cycles, navigating the procurement requirements of highly-regulated enterprises and large organizations.
- Develop and refine the company's contract management policies, operations, and negotiation playbooks, driving continuous improvement.
- Provide specialized legal counsel for new product design/deployment and on evolving commercial and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of post-education, full-time legal contracting experience as an attorney in (i) the in-house legal department of a start-up or established technology company, and/or (ii) the transactional-focused practice group (e.g., Corporate, M&A, Venture Capital and/or IP fields) of a national/multi-national law firm.
- Deep experience supporting the commercial Go-to-Market function of a global B2B organization, including independently leading the drafting, review and negotiation of complex commercial SaaS/licensing, master services and channel partner agreements.
- Proven ability to work independently and own projects/deals from start to finish within a "free-market/self-assigning" workflow environment.
- JD degree from an accredited law school and current Bar admission in good standing in the U.S.
